Determine which sport to offer
Establish age divisions, such as: 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, JV and/or Varsity high school levels
Arrange locations and create a schedule for practices and games
Estimate costs; plan for fundraisers
Recruit volunteers; divide responsibilities
Train coaches
Generate and distribute permission slips and medical release forms
Advertise through local home school groups and churches
